How to Care for Your Bikini Area After Hair Removal
The first few days matter most. Here's how to keep skin calm.
Whatever method you use, the skin in the bikini area needs a little extra tenderness afterwards.
The first 24–48 hours
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense workouts and tight clothing. Keep the area cool and clean.
Soothe
A cool compress or a fragrance-free aloe gel can calm redness. Resist the urge to scratch.
After laser specifically
Some redness and a feeling similar to mild sunburn are normal for a few hours. Skip exfoliation for a few days, then gently exfoliate to help shed treated hair. Follow any aftercare your provider gives you.
When to call
If you notice blistering, significant swelling or anything that worries you, contact your provider.
