How to Care for Your Body Between Laser Appointments
What to do — and what to skip — in the weeks between sessions.
Laser hair removal happens in a series of sessions, usually spaced several weeks apart. What you do in between makes a real difference to comfort and results.
Shave, don't pluck
Laser targets the hair follicle, so the root needs to stay in place. Shaving is fine and encouraged; waxing, plucking, threading and epilators are not.
Protect from the sun
Tanned or recently sun-exposed skin is more reactive to laser. Keep treated areas covered or use a broad-spectrum SPF daily, and let your provider know if you have been in the sun.
Keep skin calm and hydrated
A fragrance-free moisturiser is your best friend. Gentle exfoliation a few days after a session can help shed treated hairs, but avoid harsh scrubs.
Keep your appointments
Hair grows in cycles, which is why spacing matters. Booking your next session before you leave keeps the rhythm going.
