The Beauty of Slowing Down

What changes when you stop rushing through your own life.

There is a particular kind of beauty that only appears when you slow down: the ease in someone's face when they are not hurrying anywhere.

Rushing shows up

In tight shoulders, shallow breath, skipped meals, skincare done in thirty seconds with one eye on the clock. It shows up in how we feel in our own bodies.

Practise slowness

Eat one meal a day without a screen. Walk a little slower than you need to. Apply your moisturiser as if someone were doing it for you.

Slowness as a skill

It gets easier. The more often you give yourself unhurried moments, the more naturally they arrive. And the calm tends to follow you into the rest of the day.
