The Sunday Reset

A slower way to prepare your skin, body and mind for the week ahead.

Sunday has a particular light. The city goes a little quieter, the week has not quite begun, and there is room — if you protect it — for a reset.

Begin with the room

Open a window. Change the sheets. Put fresh towels out. There is something about a clean, calm space that tells the body it is allowed to slow down.

Then the body

A long shower or bath, water warm rather than hot. Gentle exfoliation if your skin wants it, followed by a generous layer of body lotion or oil while your skin is still damp. Take your time with the parts you usually rush — elbows, knees, heels.

Then the face

Cleanse, then something simple and hydrating. This is not the evening for a new active or a dramatic mask. Think comfort over correction.

Finally, the week

Look at your calendar with a cup of tea. Write down one thing that is just for you — a walk, a treatment, an early night. Put it in the diary as seriously as you would a meeting. That is the whole reset: a clean room, cared-for skin, and one promise to yourself.
